Cooksville Community Ride All Day

oin us on June 12th, 2021 to explore Cooksville! This community is located just north of the Credit River and is home to tree-lined streets and easy-to-navigate cycling trails. The neighbourhood includes the Queensway Trail, as well as numerous picturesque parks. The Cooksville ride will start and end at Huron Park.

This year, the City will map out the bike routes in advance and share the maps online so that residents of all ages and cycling abilities can enjoy a route in their neighbourhood either solo or with their household, while following COVID-19 health and safety guidelines. Wayfinding signage will also be set up to help guide riders along the route.

In place of in-person group rides, residents can engage with members of their community by taking photos and sharing on social media using the hashtag #SaugaCommunityRides.

For the safety of all road and trail users, cyclists are reminded to follow the rules of the road, be courteous to other trail users and obey all shared trail etiquette. Helmets must be worn by cyclists under the age 18, however everyone is encouraged to wear a helmet when riding their bike.

When getting outdoor exercise, residents are advised to follow COVID-19 guidelines by staying at least two metres (six feet) from those not in their household and wearing a mask when physical distancing cannot be maintained, even when outdoors.

Routes and maps available at the link below, closer to the date of the ride.
